Presenter: Scott Warnock

Many instructors freeze at the prospect of teaching online, thinking of it as a vast, unknowable digital space requiring specialized tools and, worse, specialized pedagogy. Not true. Writing teaches can move into an online course by drawing from that most familiar of places: Their own teaching experience. This, the first of three Webinars about teaching writing online, will provide instructors with strategies for reflecting on one’s teaching strengths and then converting those strengths into an online course experience. Outcomes: Audience members will learn

  • To self-assess their own teaching strategies, developing a list of teaching strengths and interests.
  • About the various electronic tools and options.
  • To find and use the right technology tools for their teaching style.
